We are currently helping 1,700 students in Monte Sinai return to school safely.

During the covid pandemic, this rural Ecuadorian school was abandoned, overgrown, and became a target for theft and vandalism. It has no fence to protect it and all of the toilets and fixtures were stolen. The foundation is crumbling and the yard became overgrown with grass, weeds, and presents a safety hazard for snakes and scorpions.

Unfortunately, the Ecuadorian Department of Education did not have the funds to restore this school despite their desire to do so. That's where Kovê International got involved. Through partnerships with other NGO's and corporate partnerships we have raised $11,000 and are working closely with the Ecuadorian Department of Ecudation to complete the following projects:

-May: fix the bathrooms before school starts & cistern water to bathrooms

-June: Fix foundation and clear the yard

-July: Install 2 metal awnings, paint and fix classrooms, restore playground, add fans & a fence for security

On May 5, 2022 we broke ground to add toilets, sinks, and running water for the students ages K-12 preparing to return to school.
